We became our own Sweat Shop! Time to FLIPPING CREATE AGAIN!

So...yeah.  WHERE THE HECK DID I GO?

I have been sitting here thinking about where I went and why I used to be so good at blogging and why apparently suck at it now.

Then I realized that my hobby of making fun stuff like bags, digital prints and other artsy stuff has turned into a legitimate business.  I love it, however it has consumed all of my spare time.  So guess what...42 days into the new year I am committing to being better at getting back to the basics and creating new fun stuff.  New years resolution at  42 days into the new year!

My crafting addiction became a business for my husband to build and we have finally got it to a place recently where it is more manageable.

So what does that mean?  The husband has turned me loose to start crafting some again.  I am not going to lie, I am suspicious of him and I can all but guarantee that he is going to try to turn my new ideas into more money.  But the good thing is that he helps out cause money motivates him, so if I create it and he figures out how to market it, then it is a WIN WIN for everyone right?!?!?!?!

First let me catch you up on my craft business and then next week I will complete a new project for you to peek at.

Business has become the usual...MIND BLOWN!

Ok our business...yeah...it just kind of exploded.  I started with www.sweetdaisydesigns.etsy.com and it has been going strong for 8 years now.  WOW!  8 Years!  I feel blessed, especially when you look at the numbers below.  To me they are mind blowing. 

We now have a second Etsy store at www.sweetdaisydefense.etsy.com where we create and sell very fashionable concealed carry bags for women.

So here are some Sweet Daisy Designs highlights:

All of that from a humble start by making a wreath and my first bag!

My mind is blown!

I want you to know that if you are reading this, I really would love to answer any questions about how we got to where we are and how we plan to continue to grow those awesome numbers.

Our Concealed Carry line for women is probably is the one product line right now that I am most excited about.  It is doing SO SO WELL and the feedback from our very faithful customer base has been TREMENDOUS.

Ok...so that is where we are...and look out followers cause the husband has given me my crafting card back and I am about to go off!  OVER A YEAR OF PENT UP CREATIVITY IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP THE BLOGIVERSE!

So...another few months have passed and I have continued to be blessed!

So Glad to have the Hubby home and so are the kiddos!  Micah's picture below captures his excitement...it was taken at the Airport the day Tyson came home.  Makes me tear up just looking at it, that little boy could not stop laughing with that ear to ear grin on his face!

Shows!

So what have I been up to?  I have done 12 shows since I blogged last...what?!?!  I know right?!?! Having the Hubby home has made all of this possible...he is awesome at helping behind the scenes. So good to have him home and not in a WAR ZONE!

Our shows have been tremendous and we have been really blessed!  The most exciting and humbling part of my shows is hearing how excited people get about things that I create.  Seriously humbling!  At one of our shows in Spokane, I called my husband who was out running errands and I told him how well the show was going...and then I stared crying!  I am a cry baby (normally), but I was feeling super blessed...it has been such a blessing to do this. It has been such an added blessing to have people fall in love with things that I have a blast creating!  I love it!  Did I say that already?!?!?! 

A special thanks to everyone that has been a part of this process, customers, blog readers, friends, family...I love you all!

Horrible Blogger and an Explanation

My poor neglected blog! Have I attempted to explain any of the changes going on in my shop? No? Such a horrible blogger, but really when have I ever been regular and on top of things... oh yup, never! So don't feel bad if you are a little confused, I am too!

For those that know me personally, you already know this, so excuse the redundancy of this post.  For those that don't, hopefully this will help solve all of life's biggest questions. ;) The hubster just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan.  Bleh!  So glad he is back, but with his return we've had some life adjustments. So without going into too many details and to make a long story short, we've decided I will pursue Sweet Daisy Designs "full-time." Yay!

So here's the run down.  For now you'll find mainly digital prints on my etsy shop. Right now all are available for a small cost with a "Print your own" option.  I am slowly adding listings for the actual print to be printed and shipped to you.  All of the print colors are customizable, and you can find a color chart included on each listing.  Here's a few of my favorite prints! 

And Sweet Daisy Designs doesn't stop there, I will also be participating in various craft shows around the Pacific Northwest.  Our love of travel and the Pacific Northwest is one of the main reasons we've decided I will pursue Sweet Daisy Designs full time.  This is where the fun and variety comes in! On top of the digital prints, you will find Bags (where this all began!), notebook covers, kindle covers, iPad covers, headbands, and so much more.  To stop the rambling before it really begins, you can see the picture overload here.

New bags!

Starting small here and have added one bag to the shop.  Baby steps people baby steps. :) I will attempt to list some more here in the next couple weeks. We shall see!

Sweet Daisy Designs Show Booth

We had an awesome time this year at the Squatters Show by Art in the Park in Richland this year!  It was so fun to meet so many fun new people and to see so many returning customers.  So glad so many of you braved the heat and came back! We added a ton of new items this year and our booth was packed full of goodies.  All in all it was a great weekend!

  

We joined the electronic craze and added iPod, iPad, and Kindle cases to the covered notebook mix.
